The Polish Panther of Leeds

Submitted by Vi Phuong
Spotted: Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK

Not sure what business a Polish Mini Market has picking what looks like a white panther as their mascot. Any Polish people care to shed any light on the lesser spotted Polish Panther?

Chicken.com Update

In an earlier post, I made fun of the fact that the business that calls itself "Chicken.com" do not actually own the chicken.com web domain.

A little research has uncovered that they do, however, own the rights to "chicken.uk.com".

Aside from having the wrong URL for their business, I find the website itself quite quaint - observe the "gallery" which shows photos that could be taken in almost any fast food restaurant in the world.

It reminds me of the early days of McDonalds when they would try and convince people that McDonalds was a "restaurant" before fast-food really had an established identity.

I've heard the phrase "Born Under a Bad Sign", but never "Born as a Bad Sign". Poor thing.

Revenge of the Twitter layout

Some well-intending individual has chosen to use this image for their Twitter background:
Truly this is a fine sentiment of which I am an advocate. Discrimination is generally a bit of a bad thing.

However, probably unknowingly to the holder of the account, when my standard resolution browser views her page, the message changes to a rather more sinister "Let's end men".
